Alexander Forjan
Associate Attorney
ABOUT
Alexander
Alexander Forjan is an associate attorney for the family division at Jarbath Pena Law Group. Alex always wanted to have a career where he could serve others in need of help. He continues to involve himself in the community. He knew before entering law school that he wanted to practice family law and dependency law. This was inspired by his great grandfather who was an attorney in Cuba, who also practiced family law. Through the support of his family, Alex pursued his dream to become an attorney.
Alex received his Bachelor degree in philosophy with a minor in psychology from Florida International University. He received his Juris Doctor degree from the Shepard Broad College of Law at Nova Southeastern University. During his time in law school, Alex served as the president of the Criminal Law Society and Vice President of the Family Law Society. Out of over one hundred applicants, Alex was one of twenty students to be selected as a member of the Moot Court Society where he was able to utilize his skills in oral advocacy.
Alex started his legal career worked at Children’s Legal Services with the Florida Department of Children and Families. Alex dedicated several years to serving the children and families of Miami-Dade by zealously advocating in cases involving allegations of children being abused, abandoned and/or neglected. He has extensive experience in dependency law and trial advocacy. Alex understands the pressure that comes with handling sensitive matters involving family and knows how to effectively present these issues before the Court.
On his free time, Alex enjoys visiting national parks to do landscape photography and traveling with his Fiancé. He was born and raised in the city of Miami but he also learned a deep appreciation for the outdoors at an early age. Alex also loves to watch the Dolphins and Heat, hoping to see a championship in Miami again (sooner rather than later of course).
